7 Worst Educations in History

There are various ways of getting an education in life aside from the regular going to school to learn arithmetic we all went through to get to where we probably are right now (Worst Educations).

But, not all have been good so far as we know.

Many of these forms of education were centered towards some particular directions which were of no use and benefit to mankind.

They were just some structured waste of time as many would call it. In a way, they might be correct to an extent, but we would find out.

In this article, we would be looking at the 7 worst educations in history.

There has been a list of disastrous developments in the education system over the past few years, and it has been a major hold in the downslide in the education systems of the world.

We would be learning about fundamental structures being put up by educational traditionalists.

We know education has been the best legacy that has been given to mankind but some patterns have highly affected and led to its decline creating a gap between proper learning, and proper education at the same time.

7 worst education in history

Here are the lists of the worst education in history and they are as follows;

Multiculturalism

When this system started, it was geared towards adding up inclusive cultures into its school curriculum and then turned out to be out of control.

This has fused cultures into the school’s syllabuses, making the students learn distant cultures, neglecting their own cultures, and having little information of theirs (Worst Educations).

This has also made students turn down their own cultures, and focused on faraway cultures, which has helped in the breeding war against content, keeping the students busy while going nowhere (improve-education).

Challenging the intellectual

There is a controversial myth challenging those students referred to as the “gifted” because they are being considered as quicker to learn than others.

But, this group of students is not being challenged because the educational bodies from their district feel that they need little structure due to their fast pace of learning.

This phenomenon has gone wide to separating these groups from their peers given that this group of quick learners can assimilate and tend to grow quickly so quickly assisting those that are below their level of understanding.

Cooperative learning

When you visit schools, you find out that most students study in groups. Some tend to like the culture, while others don’t. When you see a group of students reading in a group like that, it gives you the reasoning towards creating a herd of learners, usually slow, and in a cooperative uniform.

This doesn’t help education and learning in any way, because it does not improve sensibility among students.

Also, the approach of cooperative learning does not help in creating students who think independently and shouldn’t be allowed as a form of learning as it creates a decline in building up self-starters.

Reform Math

Many would agree that this is a monster. A very big one fused with various arithmetic jumbles and mumble.

There is no need for reformation of arithmetic when is being done by the same set of people mixing up connected math, math land, new math, core standards, and Chicago math in order not to create mastery because it translates from one topic to the other promoting the use of a calculator to justify basic arithmetic skills (Worst Educations).

This doesn’t help students in any way find proper direction in knowing what they need in school.

Fast development

Things take time, so is learning when it comes to education. We shouldn’t expect a 4-year-old child to become an expert in writing (calligraphers), solve mathematical equations, and speak fluently.

But, in the developmental world that we are in, it is forcefully applied to learning. Most children can barely learn an obvious concept, which is why learning should be at your own pace.

Some children who read every day learn fast, while some who don’t could learn fast and a majority of them slow. But the world won’t wait forever for the right time to be here to face us (edweek).

Self-esteem

There is a destructive tool in place used in schools to boost the self-esteem of students. Whereby, students should be praised even when they perform badly in class.

A move which is being made to eliminate contents from learning with the fact that it is too much for students to handle.

Students are supposed to be called to verify if they are going through anything that needs to be addressed. And if anything is being found deterring the child from learning, it could be fixed. (Worst Educations) Not trying to pacify the child and lead him/her on to become a failure.

War against content

Letting students make use of content is quietly diminishing which is not supposed to be accepted generally. When students don’t learn as much as they need to learn, they become restricted to certain things thereby lacking some core knowledge and understanding of some important things.

This is a policy that I believe is aimed at subduing students on not knowing enough to even know their rights. So, they do not grow to fight for what is rightfully theirs and do things the right way it is supposed to be done.

There should be a purpose to learn whatever we want to learn, and creating that atmosphere that guarantees that it shouldn’t be a problem for any corporate firm or individual.

There are more to the list being listed above, but this exclusive list would give us a proper understanding of what is being talked about. Limiting how a student should learn is hypocritical in keeping people’s morals shallow.

Knowledge is power, and education is the best legacy to anyone who has it. The best thing we can do for students is to extend the power that is being given to them for the future (Worst Educations).
