The Duplicated Ureter Treatment
When we talk of a kidney in the part of the human body we can liken it to a beans shaped design part that’s the duplicated ureter is an abnormal problem and according to a document by Cleveland clinic, it’s an abnormal situation with the urinary tract whereby there are two ureters draining urine from a single kidney.
It’s a birth deformity problem that happens when there is an incomplete formation of the upper and lower pole of the kidney, and this then leads to a formation of two ureters draining urine from a single kidney.
It’s important to know that duplicated ureter has no symptom unless the Ureter the formation isn’t complete.
That’s to say that when the base of the ureter that is supposed to receive the urine isn’t properly formed and instead of the ureter passing the urine to the base it passes it somewhere else due to the poor formation and a common symptom of this is called ureterocele.
Other symptoms that can occur when the urine doesn’t go straight to the bladder, but somewhere else includes;
UTI(Urinary tract infection):
When this occurs, bacteria can move with the urine and even in the bladder, and this causes pains while urinating.
Vesicoureteral Reflux:
this simply occurs when the urine from the kidney that’s supposed to travel through the ureter to the bladder goes otherwise or instead travels back to the kidney which is very much harmful as the infection isn’t an option, but a must occur due to the wrong movement of urine.
Urinary Incontinence: this is the uncontrollable state whereby the urine drops uncontrollably. It’s what happens in old age, though.

DUPLICATED URETER TREATMENT
Duplicated Ureter Treatment of such include the following:
Ureteral implantation:
This is a surgery that is done by separating the ureter at the base and saw into the bladder to stop urine from flowing backward to the kidney.
Nephrectomy:
This is a form of surgery that is done by removing some or all kidney that’s not functioning. It helps to prevent infection and reduces the chance of Incontinence.
