MOTIVATED: 8 THINGS YOU’RE FORGETTING TO DO
The biggest and most complex obstacle you will ever have to overcome is your mind. If you can overcome that, you can overcome anything.
Most of us are fully aware of the big stuff we need to do in order to have fulfilling lives, but what about those little things?
The little things that we forget to do in life matter greatly.
These points below are some of the things we’re forgetting to do. Read on and as you make your discovery, make it a life point to always keep them at mind and not forget them again.
1) BE COMPLETELY HONEST
Read that again! Now, sometimes we’re taught that lying, deceiving, or keeping certain information from others is wrong but what about with
ourselves?
We have that courage to be entirely honest and true with others but we become cowards and weaklings when it comes to being honest with ourselves.
Yet, the only truth that can make a difference is that one we admit when we look at ourselves in the mirror or when we are having our lone time and you find out that, that truth becomes the one that sets us free.
This should be a form of motivation for us if you ask me I mean nothing as good as being honest with yourself in both the good things and
the bad; so you get motivated to change for the best when you are being honest with yourself about the bad things you do, and that’s one of the best things that happen.
7 Ways To Get Motivated When Depressed and Frustrated
Depression is a mental illness, more than 264 million people of all ages suffer from depression in the
world, and I too have suffered from this common mental disorder called depression.
Also, Depression can lead to a lot of terrible things like health problems, family issues and even suicide. While in depression (Depressed) I
discovered some ways to stay motivated while battling with it.
2) ALWAYS HAVE THE GUTS TO PURSUE YOUR DREAMS
Maybe you have a thing with photography; that is, that’s what you have passion for but then, in this part of the world, you see people telling you that you are wasting your time and it doesn’t fall in the category of professional career and then deep in your heart, you know that you are doing that which you were born to do, that you know you’re doing that which you’re best in.
Keep Pressing On! People that put you down when you share your goals with them are too myopic to understand the purpose of life (To Do In Life).
They don’t just understand that living a life without fulfilling what you feel or know you were meant to do is truly, a life wasted.
That unique gift in you is needed to be seen and not just that, to be experienced too by the world.
You were created for greatness and you must always have the guts to pursue your dream and achieve that greatness to prove to the world of being able to succeed.
3) STOP BEING PASSIVELY AGGRESSIVE
This is a term many of us are familiar with. To be passively aggressive happens when one is angry but uses indirect communications to express their anger.
Some of the most common passive-aggressive behavior includes silent treatment, making ill comments about someone behind them, being grumpy, moody, pouting or not doing tasks and assignments that were given which you should have done.
I for one, fall into this category and it is not reductive neither is it a good way of expressing anger because a lot of emotions gets bottled up without properly expressing yourself.
It is also very common amongst us.
4) SMILE
Smiling not only makes you look younger but it also makes you feel younger too, which is even more important.
Smiling lifts your mood naturally and makes you, to some extent, forget the bad situations you find yourself.
If you feel down, don’t forget to smile because this will actually fool your body and your brain into thinking it is happy which will in turn make you feel happy, for real!
5) SUBTRACT THINGS THAT AREN’T ADDING TO YOUR LIFE
You must know that life is a lot simpler when you clear the clutter that makes it complicated and the most common form of clutter in our lives is busyness and busyness, if you ask me, is an illness.
(To Do In Life) Give a thought to your life and the lives of those close to you.
So many of us have the tendency to do as much as we possibly can therefore, cramming every waking minute with events, extravagances, tasks and obligations.
We have this believe that when we do more, we will get more satisfaction, success and the rest but you will agree to a fault that often times, the exact opposite is what we get as result.
In fact, less can be very rewarding in the long run but we’re so set in our ways that we can’t even see this.
I for one don’t like to settle for less or even mediocrity and so I become a workaholic to achieve what I want and at the end of it all, I become really exhausted.
This urge to do much and over stress can be tamed when your focus is more on doing less in every step you take; be very mindful of the urge to over work yourself; ensure you do one thing at a time.
6) LIFE IS SHORT
You would agree with me that none of us has a guaranteed tomorrow but yet, when someone dies unexpectedly, it causes us to take stock of our own life- what’s really important is how we spend our time, and how we treat other people.
Loss is a raw, visceral reminder of the frailty of life and it shouldn’t be that way.
Always remind yourself that each day is gift, and you’re bound to make the most out of the blessings you’ve been given and you notice that the day you start acting like (To Do In Life) life is a blessing is the day it will start acting like one.
After all, a great lifestyle begins with a great mindset.
7) ALWAYS FORGIVE EVEN WITHOUT AN APOLOGY
Life goes a lot smoother once you let go off grudges and forgive even those who never said they were sorry for their wrongs.
Grudges let negative events from your past ruin today’s happiness. Hate and anger are just emotional parasites that are there to destroy the joy in your life. Those negative
emotions with holding on to a grudge create stress to some extent.
When you forgive someone, it doesn’t condone their actions quite alright but it simply frees you from being their eternal victim.
8) EMBRACE CHANGE
You must know that change is inevitable and only when you embrace change that you find the good in it.
You need to have an open mind and open
arms if you’re going to recognize, and capitalize on the opportunities that change creates.
